What this portal does

The attorney portal controls who can represent importers, what evidence is on file, and when matter tools become available.

This portal is for trade counsel and firm staff working importer matters. It keeps attorney identity, representation authority, and matter operations separate from importer and broker workspaces.

Collect firm details, attorney profile data, jurisdictions, and contact structure in one onboarding packet.
Upload credential and authority evidence so DutyClaims can review access before matter work begins.
After approval, manage representations, filing deadlines, client communications, and matter records from the counsel workspace.
How onboarding works

Attorney onboarding is review-driven. The workspace does not fully open until credential checks are complete:

01

Create the counsel login

Set up the attorney-specific account for the lawyer or firm seat entering the platform.

02

Enter firm and attorney details

Add firm identity, attorney profile data, jurisdictions, and contact structure in one packet.

03

Upload credentials and submit

Provide bar or credential evidence and any required supporting materials so DutyClaims can review the packet.

04

Work approved representations

After approval, use the attorney workspace for representations, matters, filings, and client communications.

Portal scope and handoff

Portal responsibilities and next steps.

Inside the attorney portal, the tooling stays focused on credentialed counsel work: onboarding, representation authority, and matter execution.

Credentialed onboarding

Collect firm identity, attorney profile data, and review evidence in one controlled packet before the workspace opens fully.

Representation controls

Keep representation authority, client authorization, and counsel-specific access separated from importer and broker flows.

Matter workflow

After approval, return to matter tracking, filing operations, deadlines, and secure client communications from the same portal.

Role-aware routing

Attorney accounts stay in onboarding until credential review clears counsel access.

Clerk signs the user in, but DutyClaims keeps the role scoped to attorney onboarding until firm details, credentials, and review state support attorney workspace access.
